welcome you to the Barbara Petchenik Childrens Map Competition 2023.

The entries will be collected in four age groups:

under 6 years,    6 to 8 years,      9 to 12 years ,     13 to 15 years

The rules for this competition are on the International Cartographic Association website.

The Mapping Sciences Institute, Australia is the ICA Australian member and coordinator of this competition
in Australia and entries must be lodged between 1 November 2022 and 1 March 2023 so that selected local winning entries can processed and be forwarded to the international committee by the local committee so they are received by the deadline of 1 May 2023.

This years theme is "A map of my future world".

The Australian representative has to forward the entries to the international committee.

Entries to be a maximum A3 size page.

A First and Second prize will be awarded in each age category.  A certificate will be provided to all Australian entrants by the Australian committee. An additional prize is possible in the International competition by the local Australian winners.

DO NOT FORGET to send in the PARENT PERMISSION FORM and the AUTHOR DATA FORM  with your entry.  Without these completed forms the entry cannot be accepted.
