On behalf of the Mapping Sciences Institute, Australia and the International Cartographic Association, thank you to everyone who entered into the Barbara Petchenik Children's Map Competition 2015. All entries were displayed at “The Power of Maps” conference in Canberra at the end of April.


In 2015, the International Map Year, this biannual international award had the theme of “My place in today’s world” and entries were received in the following age groups: 6-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-15 years. The winners in each age group were:
