Barbara Petchenik Childrens Map Competition 2019

The Mapping Sciences Institute, Australia and the International Cartographic Association
welcome you to the Barbara Petchenik Childrens Map Competition 2019.

The entries will be collected in four age groups:

under 6 years,    6 to 8 years,      9 to 12 years ,     13 to 15 years

The rules for this competition are on the International Cartographic Association website.

The Mapping Sciences Institute, Australia is the ICA Australian member and coordinator of this competition
in Australia and entries must be lodged between 1 November 2018 and 15 March 2019 so that selected local winning entries can be forwarded to the international committee by the local committee by the deadline of 1 May 2019.

The Australian representative has to forward the entries to the international committee.

Entries to be a maximum A3 size page.

PRIZES

A First and Second prize will be awarded in each age category.  A certificate will be provided to all entrants by the Australian committee. An additional prize is possible in the International competition by the local winners.

Mark envelope containing your entry MAP ENCLOSED PLEASE DO NOT BEND

DO NOT FORGET to send in the PARENT PERMISSION FORM and the AUTHOR DATA FORM  with your entry. These are links to the documents.  Without these completed forms the entry cannot be accepted.
Make sure there is an email address provided as it is necessary to communicate with you and send you your certificate.

Bulk copies of maps can be forwarded to the coordinators home address if required.
